The distorted face against the worn golden background makes the whole figure feel slightly wrong. At the centre of everything sits the other eye. Not quite a symbol of wisdom, but maybe something that was never supposed to open.

    The story behind this piece

    The Other Eye continues The Wrong Genesis, a series that grew out of my earlier work, The Order of Rot. This piece started with the idea of seeing too much. Not necessarily gaining knowledge, but opening a door that perhaps should have stayed closed.
